On June 21st 2018, the first patient at Universitätsklinikum Magdeburg was treated with QuiremSpheres® in Magdeburg, Germany. The multidisciplinary team led by Prof. Dr. Maciej Pech (Director), PD Dr. med. Maciej Powerski (IR),  Prof. Dr. Michael Kreißl (NM physician), Dr. Oliver Großer (Physicist) and Hr. Maurice Klopfleisch (Radiopharmacist) successfully performed the SIRT procedure with QuiremSpheres® to treat a patient suffering from metastatic liver cancer (mCRC). QuiremSpheres® are the only commercially available SIRT solution based on the radioisotope Holmium-166. The unique properties of Holmium-166 allow physicians to perform post-procedural quantitative imaging of the microspheres to verify the particle and dose distribution.

The Universitätsklinikum Magdeburg is yet another leading SIRT center in Germany choosing QuiremSpheres® in their efforts to provide best care to patients suffering from liver cancer or metastases in the liver.
