29 January 2020 – LEIPZIG
On Wednesday 29th of January 2020 a QuiremSpheres™ live case was performed to treat a patient suffering from intrahepatic cholangiocellular carcinoma in the left liver lobe. The procedure – which was performed by the multi-disciplinary team from Jena University Hospital, led by PD Dr. med. Aschenbach (Interventional Radiology) and PD Dr. med. Drescher (Nuclear Medicine) – was broadcasted live to attendees of the Leipzig Interventional Course (LINC) congress.
Jan Sigger, CEO of Quirem Medical, comments: “I am very pleased that today a broad audience was able to virtually attend a QuiremSpheres procedure. QuiremSpheres can be considered a next-generation SIRT product, as its innovative holmium technology allows for accurate analysis of the dose delivered to the lesions and to the healthy liver tissue. I would like to congratulate the Jena clinical team with today’s success and for their initiative to give SIRT the public attention it deserves.”
