Radboudumc performs their first QuiremSpheres™ treatment

We are pleased to announce that the Radboudumc in Nijmegen has treated its first patient with QuiremSpheres. This milestone has been made possible by an interdisciplinary team, consisting of Dr. Marcel Janssen (Nuclear Medicine physician), Dr. Mark Arntz (Interventional Radiologist), as well  other hospital staff and technicians. The patient suffering from mCRC underwent a successful selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) procedure. Quirem Medical and the Radboudumc collaborate closely in a number of research areas with the aim to fully exploit the unique imaging capabilities that QuiremSpheres provide to improve the perspective for liver cancer patients. The state-of-the-art Medical Innovation and Technology expert Center (MITeC) at the Radboudumc plays a central role in this collaboration. As of May 2018, the Radboud Translational Medicine (RTM) is fully operational for performing the final steps in the manufacturing process of QuiremSpheres.
